Is listening to an mp3 player while riding illegal?  or having ear plugs in?

its illegal to drive or ride with headphones on but its ok to use one in one ear only

Cannto be illegal as they would not allow companies to make sat nav, audio coms etc.  As long as the volume not to loud no issues, Ive worn ear plugs for years as for the first few years of riding bikes with straight through pipes a bit deaf now.

i agree ive got an autocom system and when its going its connected to my phone, mp3 player and my wife on her bike,
and thats in both ears!! i say dont worry no one can prove how loud it was ne way  surely its up to u and how u feel riding with it
i can talk to my missus on the way home clear as a bell at 150.
