Avatar movie - a must see for 2010
« on: January 01, 2010, 08:27:14 PM »

Oh My F**king God

Just been to see Avatar with my 10 year old son. I couldn't see it in 3D cos I have crap eyes, but it was still amazing.

This movie is the first epic in a very long time, you really all should go and see it.

I thought Connor would be scared at some of the scenes with alien creatures but he was glued to the screen for 2 hours 40 minutes and said it was the best movie he had ever seen in his life (he's seen a lot of movies) He also said the new era of 3D is amazing and felt like the movie was all around him.

People.... GO SEE IT

Well I thought it was brilliant on both counts lol

The CGI is amazing compared to the crap they remastered on movies like the original star wars

I was a bit aprehensive about going to see Avitar. Not a fan of big budget films with a love story tacked on. This was something else. People actually clapped at the end and this wasn't in a little family run cinema either. I haven't experienced that kind of  reaction since i saw Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom in Padstow. :whip2:

Another fan here...... true, the story line aint anything to write home about & you can predict the entire film after the first 15 minutes, but the effects, graphics, & detail made it impressive IMO. Saw it in 3D.... think the last thing I saw in 3D was back when they did a remake of Jaws in 3D which was f@@king terrible, but they have come on a long way since then.

You need one of the big f@@k-off boxes of popcorn tho....2hr 40.....

Not been a big fan of 3D before but Avatar was very cool and all the better for the 3D, i did at times feel like I was watching a game, bits of 'gears of war', 'halo' and 'Kameo'.
