Thumb Operated Rear Brake
« on: January 15, 2010, 08:42:57 AM »

Just curious, but if you have a thumb operated rear brake, do you have to be able ot operate by your foot as well, in order for the bike to pass an MOT ? (I noticed Horse has one and just wondered)

No you don't, as long as your thumb brake passes test. When they test bike they do a pull test and a rear brake has to stop a certain percentage to pass (not sure off percentage) but was there when my was done and examiner was happy.
