Just a thought, but what if you were to just turn up at a track whilst there's a trackday on & run it around the paddock ?

You wouldn't be going out on track so wouldn't need to pay.

Would need a reasonable sized paddock though. Guess Oulton's nearest to you, dunno how big the paddock there is, but if it's anywhere near the size of Donington/Brands/Silverstone you'd be OK.

where abouts you located?
Im just near Blackpool. Our nearest Dyno is Andy at Junction 33 in Galgate, but as Hoody zx10 suggested , if i booked dyno time wouldn,t i be in a similar scenario to Mongo`s paddock stand suggestion? ie... the bike on a dyno wouldn,t be under normal load conditions? :icon_scratch:

course it would, the bikes wheels are turning via the gear box,how else do you think they get a power reading?

if Andy cant/wont do it though theres a few other places near by to you, carbon can in fleetwood or FW developments, they might even be closer than jct33 depending where you are. :icon_thumright:

think this must be the case. I,ve spoken to Andy @ Junction 33 and he says that the dyno has many settings for various test applications, and a test run for the gearbox is no problem at all.
