I`m a ninja owner again.
« on: December 02, 2009, 05:46:44 PM »

Had a great time on the 1098s last track day but as you can imagine i was a tad nervous at the thought of binning her, only one thing for it then......TRACKBIKE... :hello2: i remember these being good fun, and as it,s so close to christmas i decided to treat myself. With all the arguments that rage on this forum as to green or black being faster, i thought i,d cover the options, (bound to be fast ain`t it ?) [whistle] pick it up on sunday.

Nice one :) looks like the rarer 599cc 'RR' with the adjustable swingarm pivot and slipper clutch/shorter gear ratios  :icon_thumleft:

Hi Tony, can you confirm that for me? it wasn,t listed as the RR. If memory serves me, out of the crate wasn,t the RR down on power compared to the 636cc but more open to tuning? it,s listed as making 110BHP but no mention of it being tuned, which leads me to believe its the 636? :icon_scratch:

looks like an RR frame to me

the mount of the lefthand side frame spar for a steering damper

adjustable looking pivot for rear swing arm

my 636 is 125bhp

a way to tell will be the engine/frame number will have a zx600 or zx636 in it. engine number is along top edge of cases above clutch cover if i remember correctly

could be a 636 engine in a 600 frame rebuilt ex race/track bike etc

true that 600 has less power than 636 but is more tunable with the kit parts...

thats def an rr/600 frame. clutch covers are the same its just internals thats diff (slipper) so no way of telling from that...
