V5 dilemma
« on: November 26, 2009, 09:32:22 AM »

I got knocked off the R1 about a month ago, the insurance phoned to make a reasonable offer but they want the logbook.  I've read it a couple of times but don't know what's best to fill in, I can't get them to sign it as they're miles away, but I don't want sorn/ved letters coming back to me in six months time cos I'm still the registered keeper.  I'd have thought section 9, transfer, is what's needed.  Any ideas?

Try this.

"Total Loss Payment for You Vehicle" should tell you what you need to know.

+bhp for that.  I must say I'm impressed with the DVLA of late, the online tax disc facility is so easy, although I've not heard of anyone winning a SEAT.

If a jobs worth doing, it's worth doing properly [rofl]

I must say the ambulance crew and hospital staff were brilliant, you read a lot of stuff in the news about dodgy hospitals, but I found the staff at the Countess of Chester hospital were highly motivated, and the cleaners disinfect everything.
