Just out of Hospital

Well i went in to have the metalwork removed from my spine that has been there since a bike accident in 2006. Talking to the registrar afterwards he said it took 11/2 hours as the screws had cold-welded themselves in to the bone. Apparantly it put the Surgeon in a very bad mood , but fair play to him for getting out his big tool  [pray]

Resting at home now, it's bloody sore but i'll be out on the bike before xmas  :icon_thumleft:

Sympathy for you fella, it must have been causing you some suffering over the years? Here,s to speedy post op recovery. Does this mean you will have to be cautious with your back for the rest of your days? incidently, was this injury picked up at that Mallory trackday?

Nah mate, the Mallory crash was 2007, about a year later.  Should be ok as 3 vertebrae are fused together so strength isn't really an issue any more, i'm a bit less mobile thats all

did you get to keep your metal work, so so far i have about 60 staples and a 70mm screw....... :tongue3:  still got my femur nail and two 100 mm screws in........

rest up fella and get the wife on brew duty.................hehe
