In my opinion the problem is, and always has been the consistency (or lack of) in the punishments handed down.

I dont think anyone here would seriously complain if caught well over the limit (a few might grumble mind) but to be sent to prison for 9 months when muggers, drug dealers and burglars get a slap on the wrist and set free something is seriously fucked up.

I'm not condoning riding at extreme high speeds on public roads even though I've done it myself many times, but I dont expect to be treated the same as a rapist or kiddy fiddler if I'm caught.

Didn't mean for you all to fall out .. ..and try your high horses out.........Yes several of the points raised were very valid and totally agree if you commit a crime you face the punishment.

I was just a bit pissed that I brouht the bike on the Saturday and 3 days later -   Monday I get done  by some dick hidding in a van.

For a laugh - Its a recession, my insurance is not that cheap, its a dam nice bike that is my daily transport,  next year my insurance is going to go up due to the points, the fine will stop me from buying something nice for the bike, and my family will have to live on bread & water..

But hey thats what forums are for1111111111
