Hi Ian

the only way to remove the cat is a full system as it's welded into the headers (unless you bodge them out with a long chisel) :shock:

the link pipe removes the 4.7 kg boom box (pre chamber scilencer) and makes any addon can sound fruity  :icon_thumright:

Might split if your mate can find a buyer for the can

or someone here will buy the can.

if not they will be listed seperately on Ebay

hadn't noticed i forgot the pic so done that now :emb:

they are currently saved for R1ninja unless he says no as he was the first that PM'd me

But if he changes his mind you will be next

it looks like i can get more than my asking price on Ebay but not too worried about that so will leave it here at least for the next few days
or until i get an answer from R1 either way mate.

hi rick .....im sure you've thought of it ??   if drill the rivets out on both cans at the link pipe end you can keep the carbon can you wanted ....not bad for an hour's work and you still get good price on the other one. :icon_thumright:

nice idea mate but carbon akra has no interchangable
parts on the outside

they are about 6 mm different in casing sizes

ever notice the hangar straps are different part numbers for ti & carbon

I miss my Z1000 a lot as it was so grunty

Minor headwork and ZX9 R cams etc etc gave 143 @ the wheel (PDQ) which is not bad for a naked roadster.

part of the reason i went for a 10R as it cost 3 grand to make the Z1000 quick on corners as well as in a straight line.

decided it would be cheaper to start with a sportsbike and stick superbike bars on (but i seem to be used to the clipons now so not sure what i will do) :emb:

was huge fun though  :icon_thumright:
