Pottering along on the M54 tonight and saw one of the matrix gantry signs lit up over the motorway way ahead and thought unlucky if anyone around me is joining the M6 as its usually lit up to say congestion, then I saw it said salt spreading! Id checked the weather forecast before I set out and its supposed to be quite good in the midlands this week so you can imagine the feathers I was spitting. Got off at junction 1 as I usually do and caught up with a grit lorry half way down the slip road but couldnt tell if it was spreading cos of the beacons flashing all over the shop. Stopped a few hundred yards down the road at a garage to see if my tyres had gone white and thank god they hadnt, think they must have just been going through the motions and or training new people up but I thought noooooo my bike! Just thought id get that off my chest
