Hello
« on: October 09, 2009, 07:46:02 PM »

Just bought a new Zx10R (white) with Racefit pipe with baffle, tail tidy, small indicators last saturday. Looks fantastic with the Racefit pipe and sounds good even with the baffle in.

Still running in the engine at the moment so havent yet explorered the green bit of the tacho. Well I did rip it up to 9k (just the once) and jeeeez it almost took off! Completed a wee trip up to Thurso and back with 500 miles done. Jeez it was a cold week but the sun was actually shining up there this.

My old Zx9R B2 model was more comfortable (higher mounted bars?) so the wee beer gut has got to go.....lol

Last couple of years I've sort of semi retired from the ZX9R to run a few classic bikes.....Z1, Rickman CR, Z1100R, and have a few projects needing resolved......Egli Z1 endurance racer, Triumph Bonnie, Ducati 450 Desmo, but I though I'd make a return to the baws oot brigade, pity winters coming......take care now.........

Welcome mate, just got my first ZX10r on monday with 1100 miles on it so the running in bit had been completed, what a fantastic week I have had riding in the chilly but sunny weather, buying the 10 has been my best biking decision to date, now its just a case of sorting out what goodies to fit.  B-)

Thanks for the welcome to the forum guys. :icon_thumright:

I take it you need to have a photobucket account to post pics? I haven't taken any of the ZX10R yet but have a few of the other classic bikes.

Insurance:

I previously insured my ZX9R B2 with Bennetts since 1997, who helpfully :icon_scratch: charged me 350 odd quid to upgrade to the ZX10r for the remaining 6 month period.  I thought this reasonable as I wanted comp, the 9r was on tpft so went for it......However thinking ahead I thought I'd do the compare the market thing on the web and low and behold to undertake a new policy for 12 months would cost 215 quid..........no brainer then.....cancelled the current policy, will get a refund of 270 and I've taken a new policy via the Bennetts web site for 12 months.........insurance? bah they've got ya by the short and curly's.........
