New bike maybe?
« on: October 07, 2009, 01:47:16 PM »

Well went to dealer and took the rsv4 out for a play.
I was thinking to myself that the 10 justifies me enuff but wholly mother of god i cannot tell you how focused the rsv is.
1 nudge of the bar and the thing just tips in, its like its on rails or something and the sound from the bike is awesome. This bike is super comfy also and wrists weren't even a wee bit sore. :icon_thumright:
The 10 i have is an 05 plate with a few add ons and to be honest i was thinking a private sale would fetch me around the 5g mark.
Dealer offered me 5 for the bike and will throw in a set of adjustable levers also!!!!!
So now i'll have to make me mind up but am thinking you only live once!!

Just be aware that getting hold of spares for Aprilia's is very lengthy process at best.

Their parts distribution system is pitiful. On a new model - I would think it can only be even worse.

Repaired a few bikes myself and brought a 2004 factory rsvr that i repaired for a friend , One of the easiest bikes to get parts for and parts were cheaper than repairing the 05 zx10r i done . Go for it you only live once  :-P

but think about the depreciation on the prilla 15k to about 8ish as soon as ya have it , spend may be 3k on 10s handlin and it pisses all over the prilla , the 10s engine is the bollox mate, i too was impressed on the rsv4 but the ten fookin rocks  :icon_thumright:

Ok thanks for the points but have went and done it now so pick it up when am back from work with the extras added, i can't wait. On the depreciation this bike will not be sold it will eventually be an ornament in the living room and gain value... :icon_thumright:

Glad to hear you have done it u only live once and cant take yer money with ya  [clap]

I had a sit on the demo one at on yer bike a few weeks back, felt similar to my 09 10r but a little more extreme, my knees and elbows overlap basically on both bikes  :emb:.

I didnt see the point of the pillion pegs and the perch at the back for pillion tbh, they might as well have made it a single seater IMO. Its got nice little indents in the tank where my legs sat and I felt comfortable sat on it.

Dont forget to put up some pics  B-)
