One of the guys on the GJ forum recently got busted for exactly the same offence.

His is mounted in a very similar manner. The plod that stopped him also had him for the plate not having a light showing onto it .....

Daytime MOT's are OK - but you can still fall foul of construction and use regulations.

Put it back where it should be?
Construction and Use regs state it has to be at the rearmost part of the vehicle and as perpendicular to the road as possible.
Hence the fine.

IIIN30III has a sticker for a plate too Charlie and he really asks for it with his bike.
