Hi Barrie

I think they still work on 10% +2 mph for deciding if you get penalised or not

so 79mph average & upwards are in the possible prosecution zone.

but i might be wrong ;-)

Through the 50 mph arverage speed roadworks specs i've heard that you'd need to be averaging 57 or more to get noticed

Hi r1ninja

yes mate that what 10% +2 gives so they are still using that formula

Just a shame that 90% of road users feel that they have to jam on the anchors as they approach the first camera !

Thanks for the feedback lads, which basically brings us back to my original question - has anyone been 'done' by a SPECS unit??

Don' t think so Dave.
Although I do know of a cuple of traps that have been used on the M3 and the M25 where bikes have continually sped through and taken the piss.
Also the lane switching loop hole is just about still working altought the newer ones are now able to track you through all the lanes so that doesn't work

So it's looking like no-one, and no-ones mates, has been done by these yet - in that case they are a bloody good speed deterrent aren't they??
