Like anything technology based the price will come down in time, at the same time becoming more efficient. The biggest limiting factor with any electric vehicle at the moment is the batteries charge and running time but this will no doubt improve with time.

I have to ask the question "Why?"

Electric vehicles are NOT the saviour of the enviroment that people claim them to be.
Where does electricity come from? Not very "green" there then.
And the parts required are also extremely harmful to the enviroment to produce and source (I'll probably get someone disputing that).

I know that this article doesnt claim any "Green" credentials but the question is still why would anyone want to develop and market an electric bike?
No growling noise? No gears? Soulless gadgets that should just fade away.  [wall]

Now if someone came up with a Hydrogen powered bike......

Rant over  :tongue3:

I disagree. The more electric vehicles, the better. Let the fookin' tree huggers use them which leaves more petrol available for the rest of us. You know it makes sense!

LOL!
Point taken. I just dont want some ignorant politician (take your pick) to make electric vehicles some kind of crusade to get rid of the stuff we all know and love.

Well if these electric bikes are the future it cant be bad if they look like the TTX gp bikes at the IOM TT this year.   :icon_thumright:
