As for valves burning out that's much more likely to be due to reduced exhaust valve clearances meaning the valve doesn't close properly which exposes the valve seat to the combustion process

not always strictly the case dude, exhaust valves can burn out due to engines running lean and cylinder temperature being too high sometimes due to incorrect form and made exhaust systems

Yeah fair pint , however if someone fits a different exhaust and rides their bike for a while before deciding to get the fuelling mapped then you can't really blame the manufacturer unless they claim it doesn't need mapping. And if you fit an exhaust that doesn't need fuelling changes then don't expect much in the way of gains lol

but what on earth is the auction selling and who needs one  :dontknow:

PLEASE NOTE THIS LISTING IS ONLY FOR A CERTIFICATE THAT AUTHENTICATES THE LEGALITY OF A PAIR OF AKRAPOVIC CANS FOR A ZX10R.

It's really just a clever advert mate.

Someone thinks oooh, I'd like a nice set of Akras for me 10, let's see if there's any available on that there ebay.

They log in, search for ZX-10R & Akrapovic, click on this listing & lo & behold they're presented with a (possibly) tempting alternative.

Simples!  :icon_thumright:

Good point :icon_thumleft:

Do you work in advertising / marketing by any chance  [rofl] [rofl]

Nah, I'm just a highly cynical, jaded old computer Engineer.

Well at least I was until I discovered New Improved Persil, it's changed my whole life around & can do the same for you !   :tongue3:
