Hi everyone
« on: September 11, 2009, 11:57:27 AM »

Hi,
I'm a newbie with an 05 zx10r, only had it a couple of months, had fzr1000exups for about 8 years before that. Just starting to modify it - wider mirrors (already been pulled by plod), higher screen, steering damper. Might try and raise the gearing for better fuel econ and more accurate speedo reading. Doesn't sound too wild that stuff does it? 100 on the scat nav is 110 on the speedo. Got 189 on the speedo a few times, but seemed to do it at 12.5k and 13k, I guess thats all it reads up to. Got 190 out of the exup once! Anyway just to introduce myself.

sound advice. I was trying to get the gps reading at top whack but the numbers are really small and you cover a lot of ground at that speed. Oh yes forgot to say I put on a brembo rcs master cylinder, what a difference. Also waiting for the maxxis tyres to wear out, had a highside on them when cold, think I will have avon storms next, worked well on the exup.

mi sure the guys here will give you some good advice on tyres.    cos they was good no your exup doesn't mean they will suit the 10 i don't know . all tyres act different on different bikes . some turn in slower some faster some just fill so wrong you cant wait to get off the bike . its all a bit crazy i know but as i said there's lots good men and woman on here that will give you some good feedback on tyres  :icon_thumright:
