Had a shoei for years, decided to try the arai on so first the rx7 which was comfy and very good safety features for taking the lid off. I then tried on another arai but this time the corsair model and found this to be more comfy than the arai and also heine gericke at the time were fitting free pinlock inserts which work a treat with the misting. So ended up with the samurai corsair in white an black. Very happy with it and extremely comfy.  :icon_thumleft:

Erm....my penneth!

I have had a XR1000 Shoei for 5 years + and its like an old leather sofa.  Worn in, comfy and looks great.  Personally....compared to my Arai is like a library.

I also have a Arai RX7 Corsair (the old top of the range one...see my sig) and its beautiful.  Dead comfy, fits well and looks the fecking nuts.  However, is noisy as sin and to be honest, on my recent 1200 miles of germany and back, was too much.  Plus, it really makes my ears hurt due to the fit I think (only on long trips).  Even with ear plugs wind noise is there.

But I would argue that they are two different lids....one if more of sports tourer lid and one is an out and out race lid. (Personal opinion).  So I shouldn't expect to wear a RX7 for hours and hours and expect it to perform like some other lids.  Schuberth S1's for instance.

Go for one that fits, you can afford and looks great in the colour scheme you want.
