Everything I need from a bike.
« on: August 29, 2009, 05:33:47 PM »

Over the last couple of years I've been contemplating changing my bike from my current 07 to something newer or different (Blade, R1 KTM RC8,Super Duke)  and generally doing my wifes head in. Well after a long journey of (biking) self discovery I've found the perfect bike, my 10R. It's been right under my nose all along. It does everything so well and goes and handles and stops , the reason for this? Basically sticking with it and getting to know the bike inside out. It copes with trackdays with comsumate ease, and I ride it really well and quick enough to ruffle the feathers of some of the ACU guys  :emb: , have set the standard suspension to suit me and with a set of sticky tyres it gives enough feedback to chuck it into the corners, and I don't need any more power as 160 odd horses is plenty enough ta very much. On the odd occasion I go on the road it has more than enough to keep me amused if not a little frustrated, traffic, police etc  ;-) and two-up with the missus is a breeze. A few minor tweeks wouldn't go a miss, ie- a nice aftermarket shock and revalve on the forks, and possibly a spray paint on the track fairing., but these are minor issues compared to what I get from it as a whole. Just wished I'd realised this sooner.   But spose you live'n'learn do you?
