back racing a zx10r
« on: August 29, 2009, 03:49:55 PM »

hello everyone i used to race the zx10s in british superstocks in 2005 and since then i have been on various 1000s and just recently i had an 08 blade in superstock spec which was really good but i am now back on a 05 zx10 and looking forward to the mad power delevery and fantastic front end , i must also say the later models are really good but i have never bettered my lap times that i did in 05 on the zx10r mind you that could be me getting old now

very good but dyno's are all relative in thatit's all about improvement post change  rather than an outright number  :icon_thumright:

:iamwithstupid: also Crescents dyno has a reputation of reading a bit on the high side  ;-)

well if there dyno reads high 165 is not that good to be honest, that would mean on another dyno it`ll be in the 150`s but it`s all talk anyway i would`nt worry like already mention if you do any mods go back to the same dyno so you know your true gains, anyhow its how much you twist the throttle not how much power you have, do you really need 165 on the road?

Maybe not needed or legal but just amazing how fast it accelerates. just wondered what next stage you go to for power gain

thanks for the welcome everyone, that dyno figure from markzxr is really good my superstock bikes in 05 were between 167 and 169 bhp but yes all dyno figures are different but you have a good one there.
