the reason they are paying off mate is there is no work within the multiflex (umbilicals) side of things  i`m an umbilical technician and they are predicting no real work until 2011 . even the factory in panama and brazil are struggling with orders. fmc are doing good with the xmas trees but it would be a year to 18 months before we seen any of that and thats if we got any of the contracts from them.
think there is plenty of opportunities in aberdeen on rov side etc.
