Super moto anyone??
« on: August 01, 2009, 05:14:03 PM »

well i,m thinking of getting a supermoto style bike.

our weather is shyt and i'm not using the 10 at all, only managed 8oomiles this year
so far and that includes 120 mile round trip to mallory for trhe meet in July.
i havent been out on it since with the crap weather.
with the year running out i'll be lucky to get 2k miles on it.
to me that just doesnt warrant keeping it as i only ride it in the dry.

was thinking KTM 640 Duke, or Suzuki DZ-R SM 400  :dontknow:

has any one got experience on these type of bikes,

cheers fellas :icon_thumleft:

i may even sell the 10 and get a cheap track bike instead with wets for wet track days.
and the supermoto for quick blasts down the lanes.

Meeee, I have a Husky 610. Bloody good fun in all weathers if you use them on the tight twisty stuff. Forget dual carriage ways etc..... How sporty do you want? DZ and 640 are not that sporty..... The KTM is the better of those two, but a KTM 525 is better if you can find one....  :hello2:
The recenter Husky 610`s are worth looking at too.

I did the same about 3 months ago and brought a KTM 525 supermoto, what a laugh  :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:

Don't bother with the DR as its underpowered

Get a KTM or Husky  :headbang:

I had a Husky TE610 and it was great but always a worry that when it failed it would be expensive to repair,it was fun though  :icon_thumleft:

The KTM's look really nice, I thing I'd give one of those a try if I bought another   :icon_thumright:

The DR's are nice but like has already been said are underpowered

Honda make some nice 'uns though   :headbang:

Yam MT03? Well worth getting down to ya local dealer & testing before you decide.
