My Nurburgring trip.
« on: July 20, 2009, 03:12:03 PM »

Got back on Saturday from a week at the Nurburgring. Stayed at Sliders guest house which i can thoroughly recommend. Fantastic host in Bren aka The Baron. 20 minutes ride to the ring which was fookin awesome which included a traffic light grand prix  ;-). Also had a ride out to Spa Francorchamps in Belgium. Great roads in Germany not so good in Belgium. Ring closed early every night mostly for bike crashes which helps to remind you just where you are  Couple of pics of me on ring, might not be fastest but i sure had great fun.

nice piccys.... We had a great time there in June......Not easy trying to get pictures of your self from the net I found. So many photographers who may or may not have been there that day or got you.
It is better to ride safe and sensible ,I think and ride home again. Even if you do, things still go wrong as Nick and Chris know only too well!!
I`m hoping to return next year.   :hello2:

Forgot to mention i got noise tested as soon as i pulled into the ring car park, prob cos i had the growler on and unbaffled. Put baffle in and still came out @ 102.9 decibels  limit is 100. But fair play to the marshall he put me down as 99.8 decibels and let me on, top bloke  :icon_thumleft: Mate was following me on first lap and informed me that four corners from the end of the lap my baffle flew out and pinged across the track  :-(. Anyway i managed to sneak on again and did a lap with an unbaffled growler on, oh how i would love to have heard that hehe.

Yr dead right Silky. U gotta have eyes in back of yr head as there are some seriously quick cars on the ring. Tho not many of could live with the old ninja ten on the start finish straight  [greenie]

Looking good matey, I'll have to get my ass into gear and head over there! Done Le Mans and the TT but still 'the ring' eludes me.
