SOS Recovery
« on: July 11, 2009, 07:54:35 PM »

Looking for some prof advice............i have spent the last 22 yrs as a mechanic and gone all over everywhere fixing stuff.........lots of stuff...in fact usually in places that you get shot at  [whistle]  Why...who the fook knows but i have

Lookin' to get another job that gives me the same satisfaction and variety.(aren't we all) but i saw a couple of adds reference the Motorbike Recovery people SOS who had vacancies down near me.

Not a bad job i guess and will keep me in the good company of like minded people...bikers.  :-P

I must admit that sometimes a hobby can be destroyed by doing the same thing everyday as a job.....i do not think in this case it would be ....time would tell.

So ...the point is..has anyone had dealings with them/ does anyone you know work for them or have you personally been employed by them :?:

This forum i find is totally fair and honest so who better to ask....not got long to decide and it's a life changing issue that could sink or swim...any advice will be much appreciated

Ta

Oh and Hammy...you ain't the lightest no more...see ya tomorrow  [rofl]

Er, I spoke to them a couple of years ago about a job. When we were discussing terms I had clarify whether the money they were offering was a weekly sum or a monthly one. Turns out that it was a monthly sum.

You won't get rich working for them, self employment is the way to go. Just mho.

cheers daz...i thought as much...there main target area for jobs was south west...and i looked at this a couple of years ago and even priced up a second hand razorback vw (nice truck) but i was persuaded not to by lads who lived in that area. They reckoned there was too much competition. I think there's only 2 or 3 in that area..but probably loads more that just strap bikes on their side on a flat bed(cowboys)

Might look again :icon_thumright:
