What are you using the bike for Glenn?    You want to  change the fork springs, are you having trouble setting the sag?  If not then i'd leave them as if you are doing a lot of road riding you wont be doing yourself any favours. You mentioned Ohlins Cartridges, these are very expensive and unless you are chasing 1/10 ths per lap then really aren't worth the cash. Thats the 20mm carts ( same as ohlins R&T forks). The 25mm are waaaaaaaaaaaay expensive

The expense depends on what you want to achieve. If you want to win races then i'd say pay what you can afford. If you want a bike that works well on the road then i wouldn't spend more than 300 quid (parts and labour) on the front.  I was lucky and had the front and rears done for 300.

Motorways can be fun on a bike too. I remember riding up the M4 to Bracnel last oct in the rain on the 10 and the back wheel was spinning up at 100 mph

Sorry But got to disagree,  by me that 2 up made the (10R0 better) handling and i was as quick as the guys out with me.

in the 10r case, just goes to prove how crap the suspension is when riding single, put more weight on it and it was like glue and very smooth.

Weird cos the 10r has too much high speed rebound damping.
