I use R1 titanium bolts from Probolt. 5mm longer and a hex head so no shitty allen head to chew.

indeed Hammy old fruit, when i first of all fitted longer bolts with spacers to my 10 i used allen head stainless bolts from probolt.
one of the heads chewed up straight away during fitting.

they had a special offer on titanium a month or so back, so i got them in flanged hex head titanium.
job done and look spiffing to say the least. :occasion14:

65mm will be fine but if anyone else is doing this remember you dont need longer bolts because even though the honda`s use spacers the caliper is`nt any further back, plus the depth of the caliper with the spacers is the same as the stock caliper

fair point liam. i did measure the blade callipers and they worked out at 37mm as opposed to 40mm on the stock kwaka ones so with the extra 5mm spacers it worked out at loosing 2mm so i was just going on the safe side and having 3mm more as opposed to 2mm less.

regarding bolt lenght,

what you need for a mechanicaly sound fixing is for the bolt to screw into the
thread by 1.5 times its diameter.

e.g. a 10mm bolt needs to go 15mm into the thread hole.
also remember on most threaded holes there is a 1 to 1.5mm counter sunk
lead which must also be taken into account. so in the example above you
would need 16.5mm of bolt protrusion to make a sound fixing.

soz to be technical but you cant fudge brakes :icon_thumleft:
