-1 tooth front sprocket & close shave!
« on: June 21, 2009, 04:37:42 PM »

just repeating what everyone else has said about dropping 1 tooth on the front
wooooooohooooo!! done this mod plenty of times in the past with other bikes but this time wow!
doesn't bog down at all + the front tyre should last longer now [whistle]
fork seals wont tho
sprocket has been sat around for ages but didn't want to ride with speedo out(bloody gatso's )
but i got hold of an alternative to a speedo heeler called a yellow box(same thing really)for 20quid,1 hour to fit and seconds to set up,wot with sprocket & 55 profile tyre my speedo was out by 7%,so once sorted i thought i'd take it out for a thrash.
headed for a local quiet r/bout,gave it some beans pass 3 cars & noticed a car braking heavily about 200yrds ahead just around a very slight curve,on with the anchors & there stood 4 coppers in a small layby
"can u pull up over there sir? please take yr lid off,i'd like a chat" quick look at the bike while i fill me kecks & basically he said nice bike, keep yr speed down & hope u get home to yr family today & enjoy the ride, chatted about his new r6 & gave me a small pack including ear plugs, visor wipe, think bike sticker & dvd.very lucky not to be done for my black visor & small plate too
so hats off to em,they're normally pretty harsh on bikers around taunton

You must be getting about 85miles to the tank [whistle] Did the same on mine, ready for my German GP trip. When I visited the garage twice while out on a run I realsied I had better put it bac to standard, well the front sprocket anyway. You should chuck on one of the Rifleman quick action throttles. Bloody fantastic  :headbang: :headbang:

It will over-read which is means you'll be going slower than the speedo reading ;)
