Mobile phone charges abroad
« on: May 21, 2009, 08:49:52 AM »

I was looking on another forum and someone said that when abroad (IOM in this case) it costs you when you receive a call even if you dont answer it. This doesnt sound right to me. I know it costs to receive a call, but surely only if you answer it.

I wasn't aware of this.... but as you said, was aware of you paying to recieve a call.  You also pay a bit to receive a text as well.  Its all to do with Shared Provider Agreements across networks or someit.

Vodafone at the moment have scrapped there roaming charges in Europe which is pretty cool.  Shame I'm with Orange :-(
