I'm a baby Ninja
« on: September 29, 2006, 09:27:32 PM »

I'm another Ninja, only a baby one though.

Not 1000 only 636 but lovin it.

Test rode the 636 against  the 10 after only 9 months riding experience.  Filled me pants on the 10 so I bow down in front of your superior stones all you ZX10R riders.

I had the 636 for a year and half I would of kept her as she is still my favourite bike. but I disolved to peer pressure al my mates were on 10s and my baby came along didn't even have 1500 on the clock so I had to snap it up....

heres my old baby  :( pictures of my 10 in the gallery

The 636 is an awesome machine...I was kicking ass on a recent Rideout and Chaps had ZX10R's and alike ....so it shows its what you got in the Head and ability dept that counts nowdays....there is no longer the Gulf between the Litres and the 600's there used to be... ;)

yes I found that I could keep up with the 1000's on my 636 and yes my top speed on the speedometre usually topped some of the old R1's top speed but I had to ring the next out of it to get there.

Its all down to how you prefer to rind with a 1000's you can sit in 2nd/3rd for 90% of you riding I always found my self going through the gears on my 636 like it was going out of fasion.

In a straight line though without a doubt my 636 would not have been able to catch my 10 bottom line.

i actually rarely see 3rd gear on the street... unless i'm caning it to waaay over 100mph  :icon_thumleft:

i still think i could go back to a 600 pretty happily if i needed too.. but when i jump on my mates, it feels stupidly weak and revvy. after 5mins it's fine though - just a case of tuning in i guess.

Well yeah back to the post,i agree with you Uzi,a modern 600 is all you need and again as you said would take a bit of getting used to after a thou but would be rewarding!
Talking of rewards....Glenn,got those hairy legs you were after, bit smelly but in good nick!!!....cup o black stuff next time we are out should suffice ol bean!
