thirsty bike or small tank?

hi guys, i've had my 05 10r for just shy of a month now and was wonderin about
how many miles a should get out of a tank b4 the fuel light comes on.

was out the other weekend for a blast with pals and got 85miles b4
warinig light came on.

1 of my m8s has a 07 zx6 and the other a z1000 and there lights didnt come on.

is my tank smaller?

I have an '07 and my light comes on at 95miles ish, normal riding. But that is since I've taken the CAT out. Tanks should be the same size.

that ride was mostly str8 roads. have had other rides where im gettin about 100miles b4 light.

but was just wonderin y my light was on b4 theres

depends how heavy you are with the right hand. I used to get 130 from a tan k but I've taken the cat out and am being a hooligan everytime I go out as it has been a long winter

as far as most bikes go these days 85 miles is about right when going for a blast, cant really compair agaist the bikes your mates have as your bike has about 40 bhp more than there bikes.

ive got a D6 and if i fill her up i can get something like 120/130 mile out of her on the motorway at reasonable speeds, but a proper blast then 80-90 is about right

Mainly do track days so just go on how many jerry cans I use, as for the road just stick in 15 quid and have a ride about. If I was worried about fuel comsumption I'd buy a 'sensible' motorbike.  ;-)

On more reserved journeys I can easily see 115-120 to a tank.  :roll:

Since the decat, race filter and PC3 I have noticed a decline in mpg though...but who gives a shit!  :tongue3:

Diesel ZX10 anyone?  Nope...didn't think so?  [rofl]

well when i use my 05 to get to work i reckon on about 110 miles to a tank ,but at 85 boring  motorway miles each way i'm more bothered about squaring off a good tyre .   :-(

 Yep, normal riding sees me getting around 70 miles but motorway or sensible I can get 120/130 out of the tank and that is with 16 tooth front sprocket fitted.  Hope I can get to the fuel stops when we go to Germany in June??? LOL.  :icon_scratch:
