unfortunately things work differently here in the netherlands, Here it is considered that the police cannot tell a lie as they are always under owth like a magistrate. Also the police dont charge you as such, thats up to the justice department. So the police just take your licence and ban you until you hear back from the justice department. The justice department must decide within 10 days what to do with you and inform you, he can either hand you a fine and give you back your licence or ban you with a fine, at that stage you can contest it but it is extremely unlikely to go your way in a your word against a police officers battle. The best bet that i am looking at is to try that first then appeal to the eurpean court of human rights that it was an unfair conviction. Under european human rights law everybody's word should be taken equally regardless of position.
