I converted my front side lights to be indicators.

I did the sidelight conversion too but always intended to go this route eventually  :icon_thumleft:

It looks excellent mate - maybe you should apply for a job in Kawasaki's design department - IMO that looks better than their offering on the later 10's ;)

I keep forgetting to ask what you used to cut the wedge out of the fairings without causing any paint damage on the edges ?

I used a dremmel type tool. The bulk of the plastic was rough cut out using a cutting disc. Then it was just a case of using a sanding drum to gradually work away the rough edges. I also used fine modelling files for very tricky detail work. The process was quite slow but necessary to avoid any cock-ups.

The surrounding paintwork was covered with masking tape to protect it. I managed to maintain a clean edge pretty much the whole way around but any tiny nicks were filled with touch up paint.
