Just been for a quick ride after sticking my new GPR damper on......................the difference is unbelievable! Never had a steering damper before the 10, wasnt really that impressed, (though since finding out the OE ones are crap). Today I suddenly have a very different bike......

that looks a good bit of kit, but  :!:I'm a bit confused by these steering dampers, most people say that the standard damper is to soft even when turned up fully, yet on my 09 10r when i turn the standard damper up fully i can hardly turn the bars ? or is there some other problem with the standard damper?

Hi majorjam

My 09 damper feels fine

tried it on max and it's almost solid.

Maybe Kawasaki have not changed this either along with the ECU map and vibey fairing panels etc.

whatever they haven't done it works for me :icon_thumright:

Regards
Rick

All I can say is the bike does feel different with the gpr on, when i removed the oe damper and moved it by hand it was fairly easy to push and pull the rod in and out. The gpr when even 3/4 to full is so stiff i cant move the lever. I run with the damper on around click 6 for general riding, it may be my imagination but I am feeling more from the front end......well I think I am..... :hello2:
