I have never done this before but tell me what you think

first day dug out to 6" then concretes second day , what they call spot and dotted ( apparently ) and then laid the slabs...

ok they are a bit wonky but its better than what was there  :dontknow:

I think it's a difficult job without a 'whacker' to compact the ground, looks good to me though  :icon_thumright:

Got to agree with Andy, picture crap but it does look ok buddy :icon_thumright:

we call it dott and dab pal, little tip if its not too late is to prep several flags dot dab 5 point? now once you have positioned em, a good solid length of timber say 4x4.

lay it across all the slabs and gentle tap checking with a level.. :icon_thumright:

should have called...i'd  'ave popped over to do it for ya [rofl] [rofl]..as long as there is good drainage under it you should be fine G.....you guys don't get the frost we do here so heaving shouldn't be an issue

drainage to the side but 6" of concrete underneath  :roll:

i did mine with a wet mix.layed a 2 " bed then layed slabs down ,ran a small drop from the house,kept slabs level with a long spirit level
