Infinity Motorcycles, Farnborough.
« on: March 22, 2009, 10:03:45 AM »

I went in to Infinity in Farnborough today to have a look around and also to have a look at the new R1. I found the salesman really unhelpful and was only interested in selling a new machine and couldn't even be bothered to work out a trade in price for my 06 10R, he was just just plain rude to be honest.
I bought a zxr 750 h1 from what was motorcyle city as it was known then about 13 years and had a problem with it and i was treated like a right arsehole, i thought thy might be a bit better now but i wrong i was.

Has anybody else been treated like this by this lot.

I find it hard to think that in this day and age (and in the current ecomonic climate) that customer service is at an all time low in certain places, this disscussion has been thrashed out many times before on here and we all pretty much feel the same way. I'd put it down to two reasons in this instance, firstly he's not interested in your p/ex (in which case tell you the best thing to do is sell yours privately and pop a deposit on the new one , thats what 'd be inclined to do having worked in bike sales) secondly he doesn't give a toss either way and wants to slit his and his employers throat with a shit attitude towards potential customers. We'd all love to buy a brand new bike but haven't got the money to pay outright so need a helping hand on p/ex values finance deals etc, and with that sort of response it doesn't help anyone. Sod them and look elsewhere, sounds like they'll struggle this year with people like that at the helm.

Think the real issue here is the fact that u were even contemplating Px ing yr Ten for an R1!!!.  [greenie]

Got to agree with that comment!

its not even as if they are cheap these days, they are expensive and rude!!

only thing I would say is that despite them getting lots of critiscm I had good experiences with their service department a few years ago

I'd favour a new 09 R1 than a 06 10R. No inclination of doing so myself but it sells it's self on looks and sound alone.

i'd speak to the owner - i bet he isnt aware of his shite employee attitude losing him custom and money every week. that would knock their smug attitudes out of them

I wasn't seriously going to trade in my 10R anyway, i was just trying to make a bit of conversation with the guy.
I work in a customer based enviroment in the building industry to domestic clients and site managers and in the current climate where i have had to take a pay cut, i bend over backwards to give them what they want if i can. This guy couldn't even keep eye to eye contact and was just an arrogant little shit.

mate of mine i was talking too at the weekend had a similar story to tell me, although this was at DK motorcycles. he bought an aprilla rsv and rang them in order to do the service and asked if they have a loan bike to lend him as its a fair distance from were he lives and they would be having the bike over night, he was told and i quote "what do you think we are? a bike rental company??! " needless to say they didnt get his business!
