another crash
« on: March 20, 2009, 12:29:33 PM »

well, my crash total is steadily increasing, this time in the cage tho, was taking my son to the babysitter this morning on route to work. traffic lights ahead where flashing orange meaning proceed with caution but unusually on this crossroads since you can't see very well the traffic from the left you hae right of way turning left as i was.  well the person comming along totally missed that (and he thought he had gone thru a red light) and took the whole front end of my car off, fortunately no apparent damage to me or my son.

The guy wasnt wearing his seatbelt and is jsut lucky his airbag saved him as he has a nasty bump and scratch on his forehead and nose.  He appologised heavily especially when he saw my son was in the car, admited to the police and everyone it was his fault and was very ok about it which i appreciate after having been screwed here a few times, he handed me his business card and it turns out he is a managing director where i work :), and can you believe it in the same field as my missus and he works with russia a lot so could turn out good for her :)

if you are at all interested u can see on google maps the location of the accident, the other driver was comming from where the black car is standing and i was turning left across him (very very strange junction)
