Sorry to upset you but they have 6 months to follow up proceedings. What date did you get stopped?

Bear in mind that the 6 month limit is not on notifying you, they have 6 months to lay the charge before the court who then issue a summons which can take a few weeks to reach you (although AIUI once they've put it before a court there is no actual legal limit on how soon they need to prosecute you ).

Been there, done that, didn't get a T-shirt, just a ban....  :-(

if you've admitted the offense when stopped, there is no need for further interview - so they would just submit the charge to CPS. This could have been done ages ago, it could just be the courts are that busy. i waited 8 months to be done once, thought i'd got away with it but apparently thats how it works

I thought everyone was saying it was 6 months MAXIMUM then you're in the clear?

Will someone that actually knows put this to rest for us all? Surely the CPS don't have an unlimited amount of time to pursue after an "alleged" offence?  :dontknow:

as long as you've been cautioned for an offence (which you will of at the roadside)and the charges handed to the court you'll wait as long as it takes for someone to make a decision - sorry pal. but that is how it is!
although a good solicitor might be able to find a loophole for you, ut if you dont contest it they wont throw it out
