no TBH in all the years i have been around bikes i have never had any problems and i can honestly say i had no idea there was a problem with the mileage, he is just being anal.

Yeah i understand the situation but i don't pretend to know the law so i wuldn't like to say one way or the other. Best bet is to go and speak to Citizens advice first thing in the morning.
