The second quicker isn't what its about for me - its more about the fact that the bike handles well enough to be that quick, most track times are made up on the cornering so if the suspenders are doing a good job its a good indication on how well it rides.
Secondly i agree the looks of the bike are very important too - but i bought the 04 not only because of how it looks but because of its untamed reputation and ball busting acceleration......
Wouldn't you like to see Kawasaki's up the front again in BSB/WSBK? I know i would and when they're not it begs the question why???
What are our biikes lacking?
Why don't they do well on IOM?
etc etc so its just good to know they're heading in the right direction!
Of course i will never be able to afford a brand new litre bike of any sort, but to be honest i wouldn't swap my 04 for any bike out there at the mo either and i know its not the quickest - but its the most fun
