my ZX10 Snowmobile
« on: March 08, 2009, 04:07:09 PM »

Enjoy pics :)

Not posted for ages here but thought I'd share some of my recent photos of Snow in the UK, and my attempts to ride to work every morning...

I did ok but in end fell off on a hump back bridge in thick ice / snow, lucky some kind member of public helped me push bike down from hill. Not much damage as I dived under bike to save it :)

HID front lights / LEDs look great :)

Stopped to let engine cool and take photos..

Dent :(

Crankcase punctured fairing, and sticker scratched which will lose me 10bhp im sure lol

This was on bike when I arrived, he later fell off at about 20mph down main road... was getting funny looks

Looking at your bike from the back, the openings in the exhuasts look rather large - are they modified at all or just a dark pic?

thanks for comments guys... yeah was fun, you have to  learn the 'ski legs down technique' :), didn't get to do any stoppies though  [rofl]

thing is I made it two days riding in snow until I tried a hump back bridge, I stopped at bottom of it and thought, shall I try this... then went for it thinking if I stayed constant speed and straight it would by ok.. humm no, bike got 3/4 way up and it just went sideways, nothing I could do except lay bike down and jump under it.. first time I've fallen of in last 12 years :(. hardest part was picking up bike when it was to slippery to stand, then once upright I was stuck 90 degree across road and couldnt move. lucky some guy who had witnessed the off jumped out his car , ran over and pushed my bike into work with me, even that was tough with two of us but he saved my bacon for sure!  [clap]

the cans are just akra slipons without baffle...so must be the dark photo

dynojet replaced me ripped sticker for free so full power is restored  [rofl]
