dutch motorbike show
« on: March 02, 2009, 09:12:38 AM »

well yesterday i went to a the biggest motorbike show in nl called motorbeurs.  I had a big list of things i wanted sorted into need and would be nice lists.

1/get a new helmet, well i managed that, got myself an NZI spyder III with the bluetooth kit as can be seen in the photo below

2/a new horn, well ok this wasnt on the list but they where selling the nautilus compact for 30 euros so i couldnt say no :)

3/go see all the new bikes, got to see all the new bikes out, nothing outragously nice tho, i gotta say i do quite like the new r1 apart from the back end the 10r in white is bloody luverly, didnt think much about the bmw 1000r, the gixxer looked really dumb with the twin exhausts, the duke 1198 just looked like a carbon copy of the 1098 and didnt like the looks of the RSV4 either.

4/Test ride the new bikes, it was claimed that there would be an area where you could test all the new bikes that had been release, so helmet in hand i turned up to have a go imagining whizzing around on the new r1 or the 1198 etc but it was not to be  :crybaby2: :crybaby2: all they had was an er6, a harley 1200, a crf450(which was a good laugh) and a few other non descript bikes

the place was massive but all the same shit over and over, i was thinking about getting an airbag jacket but they only had one in the whole place, it cost 650 euros and was uncomfortable so put that plan on hold. No-body sold HM quickshifters(that was a nice to have anyway) , there where no decent tank protectors that would look good ont he titanim bike, everybody looked at me stupid when i asked them for an anti slip seat cover for the pillion (accordning to most they dont exist).  The ohlins, wp, hyper-pro stands etc where a bit of a waste as there was only ever 1 assistant there ad they dodnt know shit, just looked up the model for your bike in a book same with the tire manufacturers etc.

There where girls draped over a lot of the bikes tho and some of them where pretty hot (pictures will follow later)

All in all a bit of a dissapointment but at least i will be able scare the shit outta old lady's with my horn now :)
