Which bikes have you recently test ridden?
In particular 1ltr bikes with opinions V 10 r , (All models)
I intend to test ride all the " Superbikes" ( along with some others) this year .
Started today with an 09 Fireblade.
Great expectations from reading all the rag road tests.
Found it very like a 600 ie, size,weight,"flickability". Also found it very like a 600 in haviig to " wind-it-up" (in comparison to my 08/10) in order to get the power going. Never found the mid range over the 10 the rags are always on about
However, the handling on this thing is something else
Very easy bike to ride,and ride fast, would instill confidence unlike the 10, which i now have to admit is brutal in comparison
BUT
compared to the 10 the FB is all blade,ie sharp handling, but not as much fire as reported.
The telling thing was not going from the 10 to the Blade,but from the Blade to the 10.
Pulling from the forecourt my first response was F+++

Next test is an 1198s
PS my 08 10 is currently ridden on near factory settings.
After coming off an 06 this suited me but after riding this Blade the settings will have to be adjusted
