I know those of us who drive cages might find it hard to swallow, BUT they keep shafting us all the time and if we don't stick together we'll end up with gopeds.

Its not trying to stop changes but make those changes apply to EVERYONE who drives a vehicle not just us bike riders.

Feck, ramblers shut us out of greenlanes that have been rights of way for 100's of years.
Cyclists are about to shut us out of bus lanes because we can't be bothered to do anything about it.

Its unfair to us as motorcyclists and as road users that we are unfairly treated.

Good, the problem is people aren't reading it properly and think its about castrating "young" drivers.
Its not, its about making the twats in power stopping shafting us all the time.
If they are forced to apply the changes across the board you can bet the car drivers will soon have something to say about it
Its amazing how easily we seem to accept getting fucked as motorcyclists BUT the moment anything threatens to change the car system people are up in arms.
Now if they used some of that energy to help protect what we have now as motorcyclists it would change things massively. Otherwise we'll end up with a test that only the most hardened and deep pocketed will be able to take and the knock on in the drop in bike sales/increase in costs will ruin the industry and the reason we are all on here.

Cheers Guys, it is designed to spark off a few arguments. Thats the point.
We get bent over too often as motorcyclists and let it happen - so if its the car drivers for a change watch how fast things change when their "right" is challenged..........

The thing is the car drivers rights wont be challenged if they already have a licence, the only people that will be dissadvantaged by it are the people too young to vote anyway.  Secondly It has got way harder to get your car licence since i got mine jsut 12 years ago and that waqs harder to get than when my dad did his.  So i wouldnt expect anyone totake notice anyway.

Finally i don't particularly think the rules are that bad and do believe they should be applied the same to a car and a bike (altho i do think the bike power limit is a little too low) you should be totally proficient on a bike(or in car) before you get yourself a machine capable of ripping your face off with acceleration and leaving your screem behind you at top speed

It won't change us that have our bike license either but thats not the point.
The point is they are heading the way of licensing and legislating our passion into the ground as we will be the only ones left riding as the new riders won't bother as is too hard and too expensive to get the license.
They will spend their money on getting their car license and leaving it at that.
We will have to suffer stupidly high prices as there will be no increase in the number of riders to keep the prices down and a gradual decrease in numbers as riders get old, etc.
Vicious circle guys and this seems to be a way of breaking it as again cars drivers won't take it where we bend over and let them do it to us as it appears does a rather more famous rider
