Pesky mices!!
« on: February 15, 2009, 08:47:18 PM »

Stripping plastics of the bike today to start a deep clean and a ruddy mouse mouse shot out from under the seat hump!!
I had lined the space under there with foam to stop my mobile and stuff rattling about.
The little critter had chewed the foam to pieces and built a nest. Don't think there is any other damage, bike starts and runs fine so I reckon I got off lightly.
Will need a close inspection though 'cause they are notorious for chewing plastic cables. Had this happen on an old bike years back when a mouse chewed through the indicator wires.

Extreme cold or wet weather usually forces them indoors so I've set traps in case Jerry shows up tonight.  [shooter]

we where lucky in that one, when we first moved into our new house there where fuckin mice everywhere, the back garden was like a wilderness with plenty of places for them to nest.  Our cat had a field day and every mornig there would be a little present for us, then she got preggers and the number of presents increased then finally after givingbirth to the kittens she used the mice as training tools to teach the other kittens.  Outcome was that by the end of the year there where no mice left in our neighbourhood(theres always been plenty of cats but the otehrs didnt seem so interested in the mice).

So my advice is get a pregnant cat, only thingt is tho check in your bike boots before pulling them on the mice find that a convenient place to hide when trying to escape the cat altho ity doesnt help their life expectancy much specialyl when you pull on your boots the next day eughh

Shit, who needs a cat.

Either this mouse was a terrorist and exploded for the cause or his cannibal mates got tucked in after he was squished.

Got them on the run I reckon, fresh traps going in tonight.
