very good idea with just a few minor drawbacks

The first being how often are you gonna be able to have it inflate?? cause i know i for one would forget at least once a week i was attached to the bike by a small cable(which i hope snaps quite easily too wouldnt want to be stuck tothe bike in a crash), get off and inflate like a ballon

second, what if you do a stand up wheelie or something(on a private road of course) and tug it on?? your gonna get one hell of a shock and grash probably

secondly i am not in favour of compulsary gear like that, the helmet i totally understand but the rest would be a bit difficuly to enforce and who the fuck are they to tell us we have to wear one????

dianese are researching making an airbag vest which doesnt have any attachments to the bike, its got a g-meter you place on the front fork and if the force goes above 10 g's then it will inflate the vest, not very good for most accidents really but its a start and they are looing at other crashes as well to see how they could do it

What happens when its really pouring down and you have decided to wear a set of waterproofs over the jacket.

my view is that it's fantastic to see investment in safety for motorcyclists, formeit's a great step forward and the important thing is that it must be affordable to all  :icon_thumright:   clearly it's early days but i expect it to move on significantly in the next few years   :icon_thumright:

What the police need to do is tell those little pesky scotter boys to ware gloves and leather and good boots ...rather than T-shirts and trainers

that would be a good start,,,,,,, :icon_thumright:
