« on: February 13, 2009, 02:14:21 AM »

One for you off road guys,

Whats your overall opinion of husaberg's?

Been offered 1 for good money with loads of spares supermoto and enduro wheels

Lookin for an enduro for a bit of fun and to commute to work on while project rex 2 gets some lovin.

If you had around 2k to spend what would you get?

Id go for it Si.
Had a CRM honda in the UK and I can tell you off road is top fun.
I learnt one hell of a lot about bike control too. Wouldnt say it doesnt bother me when the back steps out on the road but I dont have a cardiac either.
I just know its gonna come back in line.

The Husaburg is a cracking bike......if you get a goodun. Like all bikes I suppose. Usual checks apply but pay particular attention to all the bearings and bushes.
They take a lot more of a hammering off road than a road bike.

TBH M8 if you buy it Ill be jealous.  :crybaby2:

When i was riding motox the consensus was always "Never buy a bike beginning with Hus".Reliability wasn't up there with the japanese stuff and spares availability was piss poor

I'm withR1 and Yogi pal, they are lovely and I had a Husq TE610E for a while but worried the whole time about reliability, no drama's but I wouldn't risk another as when they go wrong it costs more than the purchase price to fix those motors and I completely agree to avoid anything Hus  :icon_thumright:   get a Dr400 instread  :icon_thumright:
