« on: February 02, 2009, 06:52:15 PM »

Has anyone ever done this before? Me and a few mates are contemplating doing this in the summer.

yeah that's what we thought. Not done off roading before but there are 2 types Novice and Extreme.

Although i don't think i could handle extreme i would prefer a bit in between i think. Wouldn't want it to be boring- hopefully they should be able to cater for that though.   :occasion14:

Did you find it tiring? We are thinking of going for 3 days riding. I'm assuming that it's a lot more gruelling than riding a road bike  :dontknow:

Yeah it's hot dust yand sweaty , but keep hydrated during the day and a few beers an an early night sees you right.  At the time i was living in a hot country and racing motocross so the fatigue wasn't the issue it would be for me now

Was more thinking of a lot of beers to send me to sleep!

Should be good fun i think and certainly different but like i said, not road a crosser before really so don't FULLY know what to expect. Though balance good etc and i use to do a lot of off road mountain biking which i'm sure should help.
