depends what you gotta do?

if you need the engine apart best part of a day to remove and replace, but if its a frame swap you can leave the exhaust, rad ect on the engine, just unbolt everything and lift the frame off.

I`d say for the average DIY mechanic i`d say allow a weekend including removing and refitting.

so are you working on the frame or engine?

if its the frame its a doddle, just leave all the running gear on the engine, you`ll just need to disconnect the cables and loom.

i would do it in this order

remove fairing and tank

get the bike on paddock stands

remove air box

cables

loom

lower bike on to a solid block of wood

remove wheels

remove the front end this should come away in one piece

swing arm rear wheel

undo engine bolts and remove

lift off the frame

of course its easier said than done but you get the idea.
once you get into it its dead easy.
Plus lifting the frame off the engine rather than the engine into the frame saves a lot of effort and its some thing that can be done on your own.

in that case forget every thing i said, if you gotta strip the bike down to just an engine and a frame, you`ll be burning the midnight oil  :icon_thumleft:

its a whole weekend to do that.

You'll need to take the exhaust headers off too to get to some engine mounts

Thanks Andy, didn't know where I would be without you  [pray]

Ps, headers are off already being modded by Racefit for new exhaust........................
