What db???
« on: January 29, 2009, 05:56:15 PM »

Hi guys,

I'm doing a track day at Brands in march and theres a 105db noise limit. Just wondering if anyone knows what my bike is likely to be making. Its an 05 10r with racefit growler. Don't really want to change back to the standard.

Cheers

Spoke to someone at brands today. They said just come along to a day prior to to my track day and they will noise test for free.
Will have to take the baffle with me. If not it'll be back to the standard can for the day!!!

from what I've seen growlers are pretty loud but if you're only a small amount over they are pretty reasonable at Brands. they take the reading at the end of the exhaust at 5500 revs for a 10, if they ask for more double checka s sometimes they mistake 10's for 6's and ask for 7000 or 8000 which it definitely wont pass.

also make sure the bike is well warmed up first as cold they are noisier
