Cycling is great for fitness and keeping you healthy, but to burn fat (e.g calories) you need to really push yourself when your out.  And get a HR monitor...get your heart rate up into your "zone" and away you go.  I am back doing Spin classes at  my gym...once I've done this for a few more weeks I may invest in a decent road bike.  I lost mine in the divorce (arrrgghhh)

Nice bike though Horse.....why doesn't it surprise me that you have a tricked up bike!

well horse you can keep your two pots i got side pulls and a double seat so when i pull the ladys i can give em a backy in style,,,,,,,,,,,,,, [rofl] [rofl]

Can't belive thats a real chopper! I had one, my dad got it for me secondhand, just when all the other lads were getting BMX's, I was only eight years old, didn't quite fare as well as the others when we all went to the local BMX track. Ever tried jumping a chopper? It weighed about thirty ton at that age, especially when it went wrong, proper scabs on elbows and knees and a thick ear for putting a hole in my new school trousers.

A Grifter? Pah, I had a Striker with the "pedal back " back brake. Best skids ever!!!!

Swapped it eventually for a Raleigh Burner BMX with the "aero" frame and promptly snapped it in half doing monster ramp jumps in the back fields [whistle] [whistle] [whistle]

Bet someone had a Raleigh Budgie............................but will they own up to it :dontknow:

well and at least it's a start for fat old me........ I managed to get out on Sunday and rode 7 miles seemignly through quite a lot of mud too and enjoyed every minute. It's agreed to be a regular thing now and Pat's coming along too from this Sunday so we have a group of three already.......

Can't say it was easy though but really enjoyed it all  :icon_thumright:

I'll clear a bit of fat I reckon and ina couple of months it'll all feel like time well spent  :headbang:

we are riding at Delamere forest it' a good place for all abilities I reckon and yes Chris once I'm to a resonable level of fitness we'll try Llandela too  :icon_thumright:  and then Betws also  :icon_thumright:

He.....he....I remember playing rugby one Saturday for one of the lower sides on the way back from injury and one of the old boys pulled a hamstring lifting his kit bag out of his car!  So you be careful old boy  [rofl]

Pm or drop me a text when ur going next.   If you about this weekend, let me know.  Get the new bike christened with some cheshire mud.  Plus probably a few bruises for me when I fall the feck off!
